Wild Hair Studio, a small family farm, is home to a flock of Purebred Romeldale/CVM sheep, Registered Gotland sheep and crossbred sheep.
Our sheep flock started with crossbred ewes and Dorsets in the early 90s. Over the years our interests have turned more in the direction of fiber production. With this goal in mind a group of Romeldale/CVM sheep were added to the flock in 2008.
The following year a group of Cotswold sheep joined the farm to begin a long wool flock. Our long wool flock started out as a purebred Cotswold flock and quickly changed to a crossbred commercial flock. Our commercial flock has both natural color and white sheep and carries BFL, Border Leicester, Romeldale/CVM, Cotswold, Coopworth, Dorset and Teeswater genetics. Our crossbred flock, along with our purebred sheep are selected for fleece characteristics, hardiness and mothering ability.
In 2015, our flock expanded to include a small group of Registered Gotland Sheep.
